Estimated Assessment

You may receive an estimated assessment for taxes due in unreported periods if you have failed to file a return. If you intend to appeal the estimated assessment, you must request a revision of the assessment within 30 days of the date it was mailed. If you do not request a revision within 30 days, the assessment becomes final.
