Liquor License Renewals and Transfers

Renewals

The City of Annapolis, Baltimore City and most counties will not renew a state liquor license unless the sales and use, employee withholding, and admissions and amusement tax accounts are in compliance with tax payment and report filing requirements of the Comptroller's Office.

Transfers

A transfer of a liquor license requires a business to file all sales and use, employee withholding, and admissions and amusement taxes up to the date of the license transfer. All delinquent accounts must be paid in full, including all penalties and interest, with certified funds, before the Comptroller's Office will advise the local Liquor Board to transfer the license.
